Kristen Stewart & Taylor Lautner in Vancouver

Taylor Lautner and Kristen have arrived to reshoot scenes for the next installment of the Twilight Saga: Eclipse. When word first got out about reshoots people freaked out but its just a normal process with films in general. Now if Summit sat on it for a year then yes there would be a cause for hysteria.

Wow Kristen is....smiling?! Mark this on your calendar!!!

Beautiful Rob....

Remember Me hottie Robert Pattinson was included in People's magazine 'Most Beautiful' list. As I read on Twitter, 'No Duh!'. Twilight fans young and old can vouch and say Robert Pattinson is beautiful.

People Magazine:

ROBERT PATTINSON
His pale, otherworldly complexion may make girls swoon, but the British heartthrob, 23, says looking the part of a lovesick vampire in the Twilight series isn't quite as thrilling: "Having that makeup put on every single day, as soon as you get it taken off it's like, 'Oh, you do look normal. You look healthy now."

Men At Work Fan Fiction 'Contest Winners"

I'm going to go out on a limb here and do something a rarely ever do... Shameless.Self.Pimpage.

A couple months ago RobotMoose and I (Ms.Bond) had a wild idea to do a collaboration (which I nor she had EVER done) together for the Men At Work Fan Fiction Contest.

Why this one you ask? Well, come on now, really. Who in their right mind doesn't LOVE looking at a man hard at work, lifting a hammer, using a nail gun, hauling bags of cement? No one! Exactly.

Especially when it's a poor, tired, sweaty, hot, DIRTY and HARD WORKIN MAN.

My point to all this? Not setting out to do anything other then have some fun we wrote and submitted our entry. All 14,000 words of it. (We had A LOT to say) What happened?

We won FIRST PLACE - JUDGES CHOICE!!

So first we want to say thank you! Thank you to the judges of the contest, RoseLover24, thirtysomething, pomme_de_terre, NanMcCullen, and giada-marsielle. And thank you to ReachingasIFall for the awesome banner. (Check out her blog: http://reachingasifall.blogspot.com/ )And last but not least, thank you to SYTYCW for the wonderful writ-up on their website!! ( http://www.sytycw.blogspot.com/ ) Check it out below!

****************

There were so many wonderful choices in this fabulous contest, and SO many different kind of hot working men. It made it an extremely difficult contest to judge, but there were a few stories that stood out in my mind. The Challenge was one in particular. While the writing was done extremely well and there were little to no grammatical errors, what really stood out for me was how much it struck a chord with me. You see, I too used to work in the construction industry, which is a male-dominated world. Women have a very hard time finding their niche, whether they know what they're doing or not. Most of the men believe that we're pretty things to look at who belong behind the desk filing paperwork and making phone calls. Little do they know that there are quite a few of us out there that can and will get down and dirty, and swing a hammer or two if we must. I really enjoyed the fact that not only did it have the conceited construction worker in Edward, in a nice pair of tight jeans might I add, but it also had three very strong-willed women that knew what they wanted and how to go about getting it. Above and beyond that, the sexual tension between Edward and Bella is fucking ridiculous... and the sex? Oh. My. God. I thank the baby Jesus everyday for smut of this caliber. After a change of panties, I decided that I am not above demanding a continuation of this little ditty. So write on, girl... write on. And for the love of all that is holy, please to be giving me some more hot sexing between these two. Please. And thank you. ;) ~ NanMcCullen

Again, many thanks and if your interested in reading it, here you go:

Remember Me vs. The Runaways

Even though Remember Me has been removed from most theatres its seems to still be doing well over all compared to the Joan Jett biopic The Runaways.

Among the films currently in limited distribution, one of the surprises this weekend has been the minor resurgence of Robert Pattinson’s romantic drama Remember Me, which jumped nearly 17% after adding 42 theaters in North America.

As per Box Office Mojo, Remember Me grossed $80K at 402 sites on its seventh weekend out, averaging $392 per theater (last weekend, in fewer theaters, it was $436). To date, the $16m production has grossed $18.93m domestically and approximately $50m worldwide.

The Kristen Stewart-Dakota Fanning vehicle The Runaways dropped 52% after shedding 73 screens. The rock biopic grossed $145K ($853 average), for a cume of $3.26m.

X Marcha por caminos

Today in London 37,000 people were running the marathon while here in Torre del Compte around 350 were doing something equally difficult, the tenth walk on the tracks in the countryside around the village, around 15 kms.

For the large view, click left.

Everyone met in the Plaza Mayor at 8.30 where we were given cake, chocolate and a strong drink before we set off.

It was a perfect day, hardly any breeze and not too hot in the shade of the forests or river valley we were walking through. As usual it was superbly organised with 3 points along the route where we stopped for refreshments. The first for a bag of almonds, the 2nd a bocadillo and finally an orange all with drinks of water or wine.

The views were spectacular as we came out of the forests into the open.

All around, the wild rosemary, thyme and gorse were in flower with their wonderful scents in the air.

Finally, back to the Plaza Mayor for the meal - this year a fidueá (again), cooked in the same way as Jamie Oliver has just "discovered" as shown on Channel 4 TV last Wednesday. For more details on what the meal consists of, see the blog entry for the IX Marcha, (same time last year).

Back home, one last shot of the irises in our garden in the evening sun at the end of another superb day.

Día de San Jorge

St George is the patron saint of Aragón so here, the day is a holiday to celebrate. He is also the patron saint of England but is only acknowledged in a very small way.

And the best way to celebrate is to have a meal with friends, in this case up to 30 although due to the size of the room and the spaces around the table, not all at the same time.

The venue was Jorge's house, which he has been restoring to it's current "museum like" condition, very appropriate for this particular day. It certainly was a house warming not to be forgotten!

Robert Pattinson in CHIC Magazine

This just goes to prove how wide spread and populat the Twilight saga and Robert Pattinson are. Above is a spread and article that was done in CHIC, an Indonesian magazine. This just goes to show, it makes no difference what corner of the world you're from. We all love RP just the same.

Wanna Be Edward Cullen?

If you could change something in Twilight, act it out diffrently, continue the story, would you? Of course you would!

Would Jessica and Mike still be together? Would the Cullens still live in forks after Breaking Dawn? Do the wolves continue to imprint?

The latest craze on the Twilight front is Role Playing. What is role playing? Role playing is a game in which players assume the roles of characters, or take control of one or more avatars, in a fictional setting.

There are many reasons why twilight appeals to such a wide and varied audience. It takes themes of immortality and death, and couples them with thoughts on love, the nature of a relationship, and the nature of the preternatural world. As such it is natural for people to want to assume the roles of the characters in Twilight, in order to explore these themes for themselves.

There are so many ways to explore roles in the Twilight Universe. The most obvious is to take on the characters of Edward and Bella. This allows two people to play with the romantic aspects of the series, battling back and forth between indignant consternation, and free willed love.

There are also other roles which can be assumed. There are the humans, the Cullen family, Volturi, the hunter vampires, rogue werewolves, and a variety of allies and enemies which can be brought into the story.

Want to try it out for yourself? Below is a list of sites that do regular Twilight (over 18 only) RP and have a blast doing it. Click on a link, find a character and let the fun begin! There are ALWAYS roles open.

A day out in Zaragoza.

An early start, for us, and it's off to Zaragoza to meet our good friends Georges and Annie.

Click left for full photo.

After a short walk from their apartment we were in the Plaza de las Catedrales and we popped into the Basílica del Pilar for a quick look.

Inside it is even more phenominal than outside.

At the other end of the Plaza is the Catedral de La Seo de San Salvador which is not so striking from the outside apart from this wall, shown in the photo above, which is part of the north wall being an "outstanding example of Aragonese Mudejar art". The cathedral was built in different phases and dates from the 12th century.

Inside it is decorated in a "sober manner" except for the 16 chapels which are positioned around the outer walls of the central hall. Many have baroque facades and are truly magnificent. The High Altarpiece, above, is quite breathtaking.

Before leaving the Cathedral there are 3 large rooms upstairs housing tapestries from the Middle Ages. These are enormous works of art covering very large parts of the walls they hang on. Every picture tells a story and these stories are most complex.

One of the nice things about this city is that just across the river in the newer districts the architects have designed the layout of the apartment blocks, shops and roads so that they are very pleasant areas for the people to be in with very good use of space.

After a splendid lunch it was back across the river to see the Palacio de la Cortes de Aljafería. Parts of this building date from the 9th century and therefore have Moslem architecture. Zaragoza was reconquered in 1118 when this building became the palace for the Aragonese monarchs and further expansion and restructuring took place. There has been much restoration carried out in the latter half of the last century.

Unfortunately, it was closed today in preparation for St George's Day later in the week.

If we had been able to get in, this is what we would have seen.

So instead, we walked a short distance into the centre of the city, the Plaza España.

One of the projects currently being undertaken in the city is the introduction of a tram system with a line of 12.8 kms and 25 stops, the first part opening in early 2011. I'm not sure about one of their tram drivers though!

A great day out.

Kristen Stewart day!

Yes, the lovely Kristen Stewart celebrated her 20th birthday a couple of weeks ago but her favorite day seems to be 420!!!

Please remember to be safe and responsible!
