Ashley Greene Interviewed by Michael Sheen

Can she be any hotter???

Becoming the second young "Twilight" star to grace a feature in Interview magazine in the past year, Ashley Greene is following in Kristen Stewart's footsteps as the newest issue of the magazine hits newsstands on the 19th. Ashley was lucky enough to have the interview conducted by none other than her Welsh "New Moon" costar, the always wonderful Michael Sheen.

For those of you who need a refresher, Michael Sheen's character Aro, the leader of the Volturi, only had one big scene in "New Moon" towards the film's end. However, during that scene, Ashley's Alice was one of the few main characters in the film (along with Robert Pattinson's Edward and Kristen Stewart's Bella) to be present. From Ashley and Michael's friendly rapport in this interview, it's clear a close friendship developed during their time filming together in Italy.

Needless to say, the interview didn't start off too seriously. "This is the only really serious [question], and then the rest are quite funny," Michael prefaced. "The first one is: As an elf, raised by humans, have you found a lot of discrimination against the fairy folk here in Hollywood?"

After responding with a splash of wry humor ("Well, I think they're just jealous that I sparkle and speak elfin and have cute little pointy ears."), Michael and Ashley talked about her journey to Los Angeles from Jacksonville, Fla. and her struggles in Hollywood to hit it big until she landed a role in "Twilight."

While all that is relatively old news, Ashley did talk about her upcoming Warner Bros. film, "The Apparition." "The great thing about this film is that its really serious. Its more of a thriller," Ashley said. "And, for once, I got cast first. They consulted me on the lead male, and were talking back and forth about this character, so its sort of a new stepping stone in my career."

Turns out Ashley had a big role in choosing Sebastian Stan to costar with her in "The Apparition" ("One of the coolest feelings was when I was reading with people for a part, and this guy came in, and I was just like, That's the guy. You just know.") and we're guessing that it's not just because he worked with her make out buddy, Chace Crawford on "Gossip Girl." Michael didn't let up on the jokes with Ashley, asking her if she chose Sebastian as a costar because she "fancied" him.

"Ive heard that you are very attracted to pretty boys," Michael added.

Michael also brought up Ashley's stint at last year's VMAs as fashion correspondent, adding, "So obviously you've developed an interest in fashion since the last time I saw you," to which Ashley responded, "You're a jerk."

With a laugh, Michael responded, "Don't say that. I'm the interviewer, and you cant call the person who's interviewing you a jerk. That's the reason why I agreed to do this: I can do whatever I want." He proceeded to do whatever he wanted, clarifying Ashley does not use a male body double because she has both sets of sexual organs and that her Twitter name is not HotForRob23. Thank you, Michael, for asking all the hard-hitting, hilarious questions.

New Moon Casting: Michael Sheen as Aro

Even though Michael Sheen is best known as playing a werewolf in the Underworld Series, Summit Entertainment has confirmed to play the vampire Aro in the Twilight Saga: New Moon. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner have already begun filming New Moon in Vancouver.

The Examiner says:

Summit Entertainment has just confirmed that Michael Sheen has been
officially cast for The Twilight Saga: New Moon as Aro. Like others who have been recently added to the Twilight sequel cast, Sheen boasts an extraordinary resume, and from the looks of our discussion about him (see here and here to view the discussion and add your thoughts), fans are (mostly) pleased with the addition.
Sheen, who has previously been a werewolf in the Underworld series, will portray a vampire in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and many fans see it as a good choice for his part. Aro, the character which Sheen will play in New Moon, is a centuries-old leader of the world's vampires, and, though playing a fairly small role in New Moon, becomes an essential character (a favorite to some) throughout the continued series.

The Ever Expanding New Moon Cast

Actor Michael Sheen has reportedly been confirmed by director Chris Weitz to fill the role of Volturi leader, Aro, in The Twilight Saga's New Moon. Sheen has most noteably played the likes of British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, in The Queen and the infamous, David Frost, in Frost/Nixon.
Also, according to IMDB, Justine Wachsberger has been cast as Gianna, the Volturri's personal receptionist. Please be aware that Summit Entertainment has yet to confirm either, so we'll call them speculations at this point.
