The midas touch

You couldn’t find a better word than glam to describe a look that wraps the body in a shroud of shimmering gold, matched by golden hair that cascades into classic waves.

For the November 2011 issue of Vogue Mexico, Sarah Gore-Reeves’ styling is all about the metallics. But it’s also about texture. How that texture plays out goes a long way to determining the mood of the piece: from the ultra-modern feel of a dress made from sequins that crawl the body like reptile skin, to a suit of liquid gold that leans to the 1970s interpretation of glamour. In every one of David Roemer’s shots, Maryna Linchuk is transformed into a golden Goddess of some kind.
